My Arizona Adventure - May 2005

I was so looking forward to my Arizona trip... and for such a long time. I had spent so much time studying its geography, demographic, regions, weather, places to go, etc. I thought I was all prepared to take it on and enjoy it thoroughly.

Boy! I was wrong. Nothing can prepare you what’s out there. Let me tell you. Everything is out there. The dessert, the cactus, the flowers, the mountains, the caves, the lakes, the immense heat, the birds, the snow, the pine forest, the canyons...

And then there is the Grand Canyon!
A natural phenomenon....

A testament that tells us that we are just a tiny little particle,
dust in a bigger scheme of things.

As I viewed it the first time from the South Rim, I thought I was looking at the world from outside. The Grand Canyon moved me to tears.

Also, I fell in love with Sonoran desert...
especially, the majestic sejuaro cactus.
Another natural wonder.

When I saw the giant sejuaro spread out through the desert, they reminded me of a marching army. For me they were alive protecting their surroundings, environment. I could not stop taking pictures and admiring them. Then there are those fabulous sunsets and sunrises. The colors, the intensity. Wow! That’s all I can say.

This was the first trip where I felt sad coming home. In the past, whenever I completed a journey, a trip, I felt good, but never sad. So, I’ve decided that I will be going back to Arizona. Again, and again. To explore, to wander. To appreciate what nature has given us until I’m satisfied. But, I know, in my heart of hearts I'll never see enough to be satisfied; I'll always want to see more.

I hope you enjoyed my Arizona pictures as much as I have enjoyed sharing them with you. I welcome any comments you may have about this page or the site.

Stay tuned for my next adventure…
